The evaluation

The evaluation is a necessary first step in determining the underlying cause and nature of the communication difficulty.  The evaluation also helps us determine a course of action.  The length of the assessment depends on the type of impairment that is to be investigated.

Included in you evaluation:

  • Case history relevant to the consultation
  • The evaluation session(s)
  • Analysis of the results
  • A detailed report including the Intervention Plan

We address a variety of different communication difficulties

Intervention / Therapy

Following the evaluation, your Speech Pathologist produces an Intervention plan.  The Intervention plan outlines the specific goals that will be targeted during therapy.

If you already have a recent Speech-Language evaluation and you wish to pursue therapy with us, you must simply ensure that the evaluation was done by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and that you also have a copy of the Intervention plan with the specific objectives.

Once this information is verified we can pursue therapy and an evaluation will not be required.
